Book Review: Different by Sally Clarkson

I recently found myself acquainted with the Clarkson family and I just love them.

This particular book., Different, is co-authored by Sally Clarkson and her son, Nathan Clarkson, who has OCD along with a few other disorders.

They talk a lot in it about working through Nathan's differences, both from the perspective of the child who fights them and the mother who raised him.

While they primarily talked about his OCD here, the book applied to all kinds of disorders and differences. As someone who grew up always feeling very different from everyone around me, I found it quite healing in some ways. As a mother, I also found it giving me hope about how I might handle any future tribulations with my own sweeties.

I think this book is interesting enough that it'll appeal even to those who don't have any kind of history of mental health differences. Not surprisingly, seeing as it's a Sally Clarkson book, I recommend it!

I received a free copy of this book through Tyndale House in exchange for my honest review. Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
