Convicted

I’ve been on a really big “Christian memoir” kick this year.

Most of the Christian memoirs I read tend to be mom books but I was fascinated by the synopsis for Convicted and decided just to give it a try.

I was so into this book! The premise: An innocent man and the “dirty cop” whose lies put him in prison!

The story itself, and the way they overcame this massive problem, were extremely interesting to me… but even more than that, I always love a book that makes you see things from multiple perspectives. Jameel was innocent but there was so much more to the story than that! Andrew’s police work was filled with lies, but there was so much more to the story than that.

I don’t want to give away all the details but, really, if you are remotely interested in the story then I definitely suggest that you check it out.

Also, I was impressed by how clean and positive they kept this book in spite of it being all about drugs, violence, anger, altercations, and “the wrong side of the tracks.”

I received this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for this (completely honest) review.

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
