Love Does for Kids

I was so excited to see Love Does for Kids available as one of my potential review books. I have never actually read Love Does or Everybody, Actually... but I've intended to read Love Does for quite some time. Now it's gotten bumped up even higher on my (very long) list because Love Does for Kids was so wonderful. I am really excited to share this with my children when they get a little older.  I might even start it with my five-year-old as soon as we finish our current breakfast devotional.

The basic premise of this book is pretty simple and great. Show people love. Because love isn't just a thing we say, love does. Love does good, kind, helpful, generous, beautiful things for others. Bob Goff is an excellent storyteller and shares so many wonderful examples in this book.

Some of my favorite stories were about the kindness they showed the kids who TP'd their house, the way his children showed each other love through difficult times, and a few really awesome stories about his mission work in Africa.

Also, through the entire book he calls his wife "Sweet Maria." I thought that was pretty great <3 I told Ryan he needs to start calling me "Sweet Sara" at all times but he thinks that's a bit much.

I really can't recommend Love Does for Kids enough.

*I received a free copy of this book from BookLookBloggers in exchange for an honest review.

  1. I have read Love Does and Everybody Always. I have seen the Love Does for Kids come through the library where I am working. It is on list. Especially now that I have a grand baby on the way. Blessings!

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
