It was our first day back at homeschool yesterday! A few links for my homeschool pals π
Sally Clarkson is one of my very favorite Christian "mentors" and she has a new homeschool book coming out I'm just dying to get a copy of! I also enjoyed Educating the Wholehearted Child.
A good friend of mine (who also has four kids + an 800ish-square-foot house on 20 acres!) is using Gather Round for homeschool now. I got to peek through the Space units (upper elementary, lower elementary, and pre-reader) and really liked the layout. I still love our Good and the Beautiful curriculum but I'm pretty into the idea of this unit study-style teaching when I'm teaching three and then four kids at once.
Podcasts I use for homeschool inspiration: At Home With Sally // Homeschool On // Read-Aloud Revival // Storyformed // Wild & Free
My mother-in-law graciously sent the Dash Into Reading program to five-year-old B and we both love it!
A's been requesting this kid version of Ticket to Ride for three birthdays and Christmases... So perfect for geography!
My friend Gretchen uses and loves the Brave Writer language arts program (by the Brave Learner author- loved that book!) and fun art classes via Outschool.

We're studying "cowboys" for history, meaning westward expansion + the Oregon Trail + the wild west. I was excited to find out about wild west legend Bass Reeves, the first black US Marshall, thanks to Little Legends, we definitely plan to buy The Oregon Trail for A to practice computer skills withπ, and I sure wish it felt safe to road trip to Tombstone, which my grandparents have visited and loved!
School field trips I loved when I lived in Arizona: Arboretum // Arizona Science Center // Glen Canyon Dam // Lowell Observatory // Oak Creek Canyon // Waputki and Sunset Crater // Phoenix Children's Museum // Pioneer Living Museum // Riordan Mansion

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
