April Goal Check-in

๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿ‘ง‍๐Ÿ‘ฆ Family
✔- Monthly date night
✔- Monthly kid date
✔ - Weekly outing/playdate (dinner with family friends // park picnic // high school baseball game)
❌- Take a big road trip to meet our niece/cousin! (Not time yet!)

๐Ÿ’ช Health
✔- Follow the whole-foods-plant-based program that makes me feel so good
✔- Make a morning walk + a few minutes of strength training part of my morning routine
✔- Try 12 new recipes

๐Ÿ“ Homeschool
✔- Weekly field trip or activity
✔- Reading, writing, arithmetic, read-aloud. Everything else is just societal pressure ✌

๐Ÿก Home/Homestead
❌- Get the bookshelves culled & organized- I've culled all I was willing to cull but they still don't all fit! ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผ
❌- Create a living room- The only way to do this in our tiny house is to get rid of our kitchen table and have only a living room plus coffee table instead of a dining space. The couch feels so much more important to me while we are homeschooling or hanging out in the evenings, but after every meal I do all this gross table wipe down plus sweeping and feel like this is just not doable yet until the kids are older. I am still deciding.
✔- Replace kitchen blinds
❌- Fence in bigger garden plot- We're making our own fence posts since we haven't been able to find what we were looking for!
❌- Plant two nut trees- having a lot of trouble finding what I'm looking for here!

๐Ÿ’™ Ministry
❌- Take an online writing workshop (No... But since I knew I'd be posting here I looked into some and then found a DVD series through my library! It's through The Great Courses, which is an online class anyway, so it most definitely counts. I've completed lecture 12 of 24)
✔- Post 2+ blogs/week
✔- Keep podcasting
✔- Monthly food Bank donations
❌- Volunteer sonewhere with the kids

๐Ÿ“š Reading
❌- Read 100 books that are 100 pages or more (At 52 so far)
❌- Read one Christian sci-fi (Hooray for understanding my obliger tendencies! I have ready about 1/4 of Black by Ted Dekker since I knew I'd be posting this and wanted to at least have made progress here ๐Ÿ˜)
✔- Read one Christian fantasy (Fawkes by Nadine Brandes
❌- Read 12 grown up books I already own (Only one so far... But I still think I'll pull it off ๐Ÿ’ช)
✔- Read three to five nights per week
❌- Spiritually-minded buddy read

๐Ÿ’ฐ I also have financial goals that are private and are almost complete minus the full financing of the baby niece road trip.

  1. I’m feeling inspired to do better at nourishment in my life! Thanks for this post!

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
