May Goal Check-in

May was a weird month. I made lots of progress but didn't have as much completion as I would have liked. June will be better!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family
✔- Monthly date night
✔- Monthly kid date
✔ - Weekly outing/playdate
❌- Take a big road trip to meet our niece/cousin!

💪 Health
✔- Follow my nutritionist-recommended protocol (hoping hoping hoping this will heal my dear body and let me enjoy sunny summer days this year!)
❌✔- Morning walk + strength training 20/30 days (walked 30/30 days but did strength training14/30 days)
✔- Try 12 new recipes

📝 Homeschool
✔- Weekly field trip or activity
✔- Reading, writing, arithmetic, read-aloud. Everything else is just societal pressure ✌

🏡 Home/Homestead
✔- Get the bookshelves culled & organized
❌- Create a living room- The only way to do this in our tiny house is to get rid of our kitchen table and have only a living room plus coffee table instead of a dining space. The couch feels so much more important to me while we are homeschooling or hanging out in the evenings, but after every meal I do all this gross table wipe down plus sweeping and feel like this is just not doable yet until the kids are older. I am still deciding.
✔- Replace kitchen blinds
❌- Fence in bigger garden plot (we now have the fence posts!)
❌- Plant two nut trees

💙 Ministry
✔- Take an online writing workshop (Great Courses: Writing Great Fiction
✔- Post 2+ blogs/week
❌- 2 podcasts/month  (We're on our post-season 1 break)
✔- Monthly food Bank donations
❌- Volunteer somewhere with the kids

📚 Reading
❌- Read 100 books that are 100 pages or more (At 61 so far)
✔- Read one Christian sci-fi (Black by Ted Dekker
✔- Read one Christian fantasy (Fawkes by Nadine Brandes
❌- Read 12 grown up books I already own (2/12.. Taking Flight // Getting Into Character
✔- Read three to five nights per week
❌- Spiritually-minded buddy read

❌- Private financial goals

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
