Four Recent Reads

Four recent reads I want to tell you about today...

Boundaries is such a great read for anyone with discomfort or dysfunction in any kind in any relationship. W4ork, spouse, parent-child, extended family, church, activities, any relationship. I may not have agreed with 100% of what was said but it was still a 5-star (and incredibly helpful) read for me.

HELP! I'm Drowning*... I always love Sally Clarkson's books and this one was a hit for me too. This has been a season of loss, upheaval, chaos, and unknowns. I found this book to be helpful and encouraging, and very timely for me.

The Lines Between Us*... I really enjoyed this WWII mystery about a conscientious objector working as a smokejumper and a Women's Army Corps officer trying to unravel the mystery surrounding another smokejumper's death. I didn't solve the mystery before it was revealed and i loved the way the author painted a picture with her words (along with the letters dispersed throughout the story) so this one was a hit for me.

The Secret Keepers of Old Depot*... If you, like me, enjoy a good family story this one just might be a hit for you. I enjoyed seeing all three generations and I loved reading about Glory Ann's 1960s story. Definitely a worthwhile read. I also read + liked Amanda Cox's first novel and will definitely be reading more of her work.

*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

  1. Thank you Sarah for your advice! I have already read the books "Echo" and "Forgotten Garden" on your advice. I really liked them. Now I'm watching the TV series "When the Heart Calls", and I really like it too. Jack and Elizabeth are adorable heroes. Unfortunately, many of the books you recommend have not been translated into Russian. I would love to read many of them. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
