A few days before the party we spent a fun morning putting together a Christmas puzzle while we listened to BBC's audio drama of ETA Hoffmann's original.
A few days later we watched the SuperWhy Nutcracker episode.
A also read Tchaikovsky and the Nutcracker Ballet.
We watched the New York City Ballet DVD and all loved it. I was nervous for how it might turn out but we all thought it was well-done.
We ended the night with our beloved Mary Engelbreit Nutcracker picture book, of course. ๐
Other Nutcracker books we've loved in the past: Cozy Classics board book //Susan Jeffers picture book // Nutcracker Ballet leveled reader // Scholastic chapter book adaptation // The Nutcracker Comes to America // Ella Bella Ballerina and the Nutcracker
I was just recently thinking about the Nutcracker. I really want to buy a wooden or Christmas tree toy for the Nutcracker. And by the way, I have already watched the movie "The Peanut Butter Falcon", which you advised, and I really liked it! This is such a kind and funny movie! ๐ฝ๐บ Thanks again for the recommendations! ๐❤
ReplyDeleteWe went to a fake Bavarian village (here in the US) a few years ago and went to a Nutcracker museum! My mother-in-law bought us a nutcracker mouse king ornament and it makes me so happy to see it on the tree!
DeleteI'm so glad you liked that movie! Such a great one ๐
