It's no secret that I adore this Christian author! She's my very favorite right now. I have loved many of her books already and am happy to still have a pretty long list to read in the future!
Her writing style leads to dramatic, emotional, fast-paced tales I find myself thinking about throughout the day. I'll be sad when I catch up and have to wait for each new book!
Some of her books have even been made into movies but these are all unknown to me at the time of this writing.
Baxter Family series: Love Story, In This Moment, To the Moon and Back, When We Were Young, Two Weeks, Someone Like You, Truly Madly Deeply, Forgiving Paris, The Baxters
Baxter Family Children... These books follow the Baxter Family children as elementary and middle school students. We love these so far! The order is as follows:
Best Family Ever, Finding Home, Never Grow Up, Adventure Awaits (releases 2/22/22!)
Brave Young Knight... This picture book about a knight in competition is such a great opener for age-appropriate discussion of integrity. Big hit over here.
A Distant Shore... The storyline for this one is an FBI agent cracking down on a female trafficking ring. I did find it upsetting (though ultimately hopeful) but it was definitely engaging.
Let Me Hold You Longer... I adore this sweet poem of a picture book all about wanting to savor our little ones who grow up far too fast!
Lost Love series... This two-book series starts with Even Now. This is a story about a family broken up by unfortunate circumstances and how they find their way back to eachother. Partially set in the 80s and partially told through diary entries. Book 2 is hard to describe without giving book 1 spoilers.
A Treasury of Christmas Miracles... This short and moving nonfiction was the perfect read this holiday season!
Thank you Sarah for this post! I had already read about this writer in your blog and became interested in her work. I'm listening to the audiobook "Gideon's Gift" right now. I like the author's style. I also want to read about the Baxter family in the future, so I am very glad that you wrote here in what order to read these books.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so glad this author is translated!
DeleteI have only read a couple of her books. I know my sister in law loves her too. We read The Bridge for book club this December and we all really enjoyed it!
