Bookish links, May 2022

My face (part of it, anyway) because it's been a while... Wearing this nerdy homeschool shirt, kinda wanting this one, too! (Mauve?! I wear navy and gray probably 95% of the time but I'm looking to switch it up ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

I tried creating a library for my friends as a kid, complete with construction paper library cards. This personal library stamp would have made me swoon ๐Ÿ˜†

More great sources for clean and/or Christian book reviews: Squeaky Clean Reviews // A Baker's Perspective // Chantel Reads All Day // Library of clean reads

4 reasons to never stop reading aloud to your children

I love this bookmark set. African elephants are my very favorite animal.

Bookroo's best children's books about Creation... We've only read two of these!

A nice long list of issue-driven YA Christian fiction

Meet the mom who opened a bookstore in a bus... I have a mobile Christian bookstore pipe dream and a whole Bookmobile Pinterest board to prove it!

Currently Reading: this bibliomemoir (another memoir trope I love) in the mornings // this short story collection from The Good and the Beautiful // this Christian fiction set during the fall of imperial Russia!

Also, you are not your past. His mercies are new every morning and so are you ๐ŸŒ„

  1. The bookstore on the bus is such a beautiful dream! A very good idea. We do not have such mobile bookstores. Your words, Sarah, that we are not our past are just right for me. The last few days I have been constantly thinking about my past, about where I did wrong and what could have been done differently. These thoughts tormented me. So your words made me very happy! And I also wanted to tell you that the film about the author of "Mary Poppins" and Walt Disney, which you advised me, is very cool! I looked at it a long time ago, I forgot to write to you about it. Thank you for your recommendations!

    1. Hi Julia! I am so fascinated by mobile bookstores. Bookstore buses are fun but I have also loved reading about bookstore boats and even a tiny book library on a monkey's back!

I completely understand this because my own past decisions still creep into my thoughts to shame me from time to time but they just are NOT who we are or how God sees us! He sees us as this whole, beautiful person who has made some mistakes but learned from them and keeps growing. ๐Ÿค—

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
