3 books I finished this week

📚 Aggressively Happy by Joy Marie Clarkson* (Christian nonfiction)... I have said it a million times before but I really love the Clarkson family and the books they put out into the world. This one was such a delight to read and I absolutely filled up my journal with little notes and quotes from it! My general take away is that life is good. Even when things seem so crazy right now, life is ultimately good. I recommend this to anyone but think it'll be an especially meaningful book for my Enneagram 7 and 6w7 friends!

📚 Survival Tails: The Titanic by Katrina Charman (secular, middle grade)... My kids love historical fiction and books about animals so I knew this one would be a hit as long as i was happy with the content. I'm happy to say that I was indeed fine with the content oh, it was well written, and once I passed it on to a he quickly devoured it in one sitting and is excitedly waiting for the next installment.

📚 The Tidewater Sisters by Lisa Wingate (Christian fiction)... this is a short sequel to the book The Prayer Box. I read that book as a buddy read with my grandma and was missing her fiercely so decided to go ahead and read this one. I don't think it would be a problem to read as a stand-alone but I do think it will feel a lot more meaningful and pack more of a punch if you have read the first one and seen Tandi's transformation

*I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review

  1. So funny- I was just thinking about The Prayer Box this morning on my walk. I read it a couple years ago with my bookclub. I will have to check out the sequel.

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
