3 Christian New Releases

Where the Blue Sky Begins by Katie Powner*... This was my first Katie Powner read and I am definitely going to read more of her work in the future. I appreciated the Montana setting, the characters, and the depth of the relationships explored. It did take me a few chapters to get interested in the characters but then I was enjoying getting to know them. Also, this is a silly thing, but I really love it when a contemporary fiction novel shows me text messages between the characters.

Giving Your Words by Clay and Sally Clarkson*... I have loved every Clarkson book I have read and this is no exception. I have always believed in the power of words and I loved the way the Clarksons brought this reality to life in this powerful book. Even though this was a concept I already believed in I still found myself pausing and reflecting a lot throughout my reading time. This book will make a big impact for so many families! I also talked about this book on episode 50 of The Christian Bookworm Podcast.

The World's Longest Sock by Juliann Law*... This is a clean and kind picture book rather than a Christian picture book but I enjoyed it and so did my children. The illustrations are bright and colorful and the message is nice, too. We had never read a picture book set in Chile before (well, partially set) so that was also a fun treat.

*I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
