I don't follow a geography curriculum of any kind but my kids still know their geography quite well. Here's what we've used to learn, practice, and review.
πΊπΈ US Geography: 50 Nifty United States (We sing it and then point to each state on a map as we sing) // Books Across the USA // Highlights: Which Way USA // Ticket to Ride board game // North America // road trips! // USA puzzle
π World Geography: Books! // Highlights: Top Secret Adventures // Planet Earth // Risk board game // Sticker Dolly Dressing Around the World // Story of the World History // The Good and the Beautiful Math ( levels 3 and 4 have had a ton of geography + social studies mixed in so far) // World map puzzle
For both, we also enjoy playing the game Geography. You go through the alphabet saying the name of a place that begins with each letter. Once you hit Z, start with A! Keep going until someone is stumped. I hand my kids an atlas and they pore over maps looking for a place that begins with whatever letter they're on. I just do it by memory so they always win π

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
