Recently Watched

It's been a while since I've shared any TV and movie reviews!

📺 The Case for Christ (Movie, Christian)... Good! I can see why everyone raves about this one. It's a very quiet movie though, fyi, and we couldnt hear it well enough to finish when we initially watched it on the laptop. Fine to watch with the whole family but kids under age 10ish likely won't be interested.

📺 Decades Collection: 1990-1999 (TV, secular... Can't find a link, sorry!)... Some of these were incredibly fascinating to us while others fell flat. We didnt even watch the Clinton one, zero interest. I'm starting to really enjoy History Channel productions.

📺 Jane (Movie, secular)... Good, educational, interesting, but unfortunately it does show chimpanzees mating. Only for like 30 seconds though. I did play this one for the kids and just "accidentally" fast forwarded that part so all was well.

📺 Heartland (TV, secular)... We watched season 1 and liked it. Lots of a-word and d-word + occasional innuendo but overall very appropriate for secular television. Will try season 2.

📺 History's Greatest Mysteries (TV, secular)... Loved! Though we did skip the second two Roswell episodes as we felt sufficiently Roswell'd after the first. Would like to watch season 3 as well. We also rewatched the DB Cooper episode with our ten-year-old and he loved it.

📺 The Impossible (Movie, secular)... Unfortunately the mother's breasts were briefly shown twice (in a nonsexual way) but this was otherwise a very powerful, moving story. We could see God all throughout it but there was no faith shown here.

📺 Me Again (Movie, Christian)... Cute, meaningful, made us laugh. I am grateful that we can get Pureflix movies from our library but I do wish we could stream it and watch their shows, too!

📺 Mission Impossible (Movie, secular)... Interesting and I can see why people like it so much but I'm just kind of over shooting-heavy action thrillers. Used to be one of my favorite things to watch though and I'm sure I would have enjoyed this back then.

📺 Now You See Me (Movie, secular)... Not perfectly appropriate but also not bad for today's standards. Oh man, so clever! We will be watching the sequel.

📺 Revelation Road (Movie, Christian)... We liked the first one but the second one wasn't as interesting for us. It ended in a way that had us not very interested in trying the third so we'll see.
