Winter activities we love

I'm starting to hear rumblings from family and friends who are growing weary of winter weather. Winter is my personal favorite so I thought I'd share things we love about it in hopes of helping! (I have to do the same thing for myself in the summer)

- Reading, of course. Bonus points if this includes a favorite blanket and a mug of tea or cocoa
- Bundling up for chilly walks (snow crunching under my boots is one of my favorite sensory experiences) or snowplay
- Soup for every lunch + quite a lot of dinners
- Wearing the coziest hoodies, flannels, sweatshirts, sweaters, and socks!
- Cozy hobbies (puzzles, sewing, knitting, drawing, painting, etc) with music or an audio book in the background
- Board game / movie nights with the people we love
- Baking
- Writing
- Learning about a subject that fascinates us
- Warm baths

  1. I also really love winter. Here it's very snowy and usually lasts from mid-November until mid-March (or even the end). By mid-November, we're usually completely covered in snow, and it doesn't really melt until the second half of March. And right now we have a frost of -32 Celsius (I read that in the US the system is Fahrenheit, and I learned that in Fahrenheit it's -25.6). But even in the cold, I feel great and am happy to go outside. I love all seasons, but winter is my element! So I understand you completely, Sarah!

    1. Yes, I feel the same way! Cold weather makes me feel happy and vibrant. Hot weather makes me feel tired, weak, and weighted.

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
