We colored 4th of July coloring sheets from Dash Into Learning, had a water fight with these reusable water balloons (huge hit, 10/10 recommend), played games, read, watched a nature documentary, and watched fireworks with the neighbors who gave us sparklers 😊

Menu: watermelon slices for some, watermelon slushies for others // chickpea tenders with fries, crudete, and homemade hummus // N'ice cream parfaits with strawberries and blueberry syrup

What a fun day!

Wedding and marriage books

Today is my 13th wedding anniversary and I am fully immersed in feelings of love and gratitude. I have been blessed beyond all measure πŸ’™

We'll be celebrating with a normal day of work + homeschool, a lovely dinner (stuffed peppers, salad, tiramisu), and then an at-home date night with a game of Boggle + hopefully watching something fun!

πŸ‘°πŸΌ Favorite wedding stories: Grandfather's Dance (secular, chapter book, part of the Sarah Palin and Tall series) // The Littles Have a Wedding (secular, chapter book) // Rejoice, Sunrise and Sunset by Karen Kingsbury (Contemporary Christian fiction... These are all part of the Baxter family saga, which starts with Redemption)  // A Wedding is Beautiful (Christian, picture book, out of print) // The Wedding Dress (Christian, time slip)

πŸ’‘ Marriage nonfiction: The 5 Love Languages // Happy Wives Club // The Love Dare

(Also, I wrote a book of essays on the beauty of marriage, For the Love of Marriage
