Morning time changes as my life seasons shift but here's what I've done for all of 2023 so far.
Lemon water- Lots of different sources will tell you this is a great way to start the day and that it helps your liver clear out some of the toxins it worked on in the night.
Gratitude- I journal about five things I am grateful for every single morning. A lot of the same things come up again and again (my family, homeschool, kind texts from loving friends, etc) and that's just fine with me.
Reading + reflecting- a chapter from my Bible and a chapter from a book I believe will grow, inspire, encourage, and/or teach me. Sometimes I journal about this, sometimes I don't.
Morning reads I have enjoyed so far this year: Celery Juice // The Artist's Daughter // Mom Set Free // Return from Tomorrow // More Than Enough // Compassion // The Time-Saving Mom
Prayer- I pray about the things I read and felt God was saying to me, about my goals, about the day ahead.
Affirmations- I close my eyes, put my hand on my heart, and speak to myself the words I feel I need to hear. Currently:
💙 I am lovable and I am loved exactly as I am (Psalm 139:13)
💙 I am loving (Galatians 5:22)
💙 My family loves me and they always will (Proverbs 31:28)
💙 I am a good writer with important stories to tell (Ephesians 2:10)
💙 I am taking good care of my happy, healthy body (1 Corinthians 3:16–17, 1 Corinthians 6:19–20)
💙 God is preparing our dream home for us (Isaiah 32:18)
Celery juice (Believe it or not, I actually love celery juice now. I never would have imagined that would end up being the case)
Exercise- I always used to walk outside while the kids played but these days I am almost always just doing aerobics indoors. I do want to get back to walking in fresh air though.

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
