Christian new releases

Confidently You by Joyce Meyer*... This short little book is about finding your confidence in God and is full of important little lessons to help you achieve that, such as releasing the habit of comparison and persevering. Sometimes a message gets dragged out for far too long to make it a 200-page book so I appreciate the brevity of this one!

In the Shadow of His Wings by Roslynn Long*... I have a couple of amateur birdwatchers under my roof so I was mostly excited about this book knowing I could pass it on to my children as they get older. But gosh, such lovely nature photography! You won't be learning a lot about each bird because the focus is on the devotional aspect but I really liked that.

The Songs That Could Have Been by Amanda Wen*... Amanda Wen is a truly phenomenal storyteller. The 50s storyline is a real emotional powerhouse but there's a whole lot of depth to the modern storyline, too. There is so much going on in this book yet it doesn't feel overwhelming at all.

The Stories of God (and Kiki) by Dave Connis and Amy Domingo*... This short little picture book is an easy-to-understand explanation of God's work. I appreciated the simplicity for little ones and I enjoyed the illustrations, too.

The Way of a Christian*... This lovely 90-day devotional, complete with full-color pages, is filled with lessons straight from the Christian classic Pilgrim's Progress. Each short devotional is a two-page spread. It'll mean more to you if you're familiar with the story but there's still plenty to be gleaned even if you aren't.

* I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
